Another red-tailed hawk photo one from my backyard, taken in June 2020. I think this is one of the most amusing photos I have ever taken. I am used to seeing red-tailed hawks, as they are the most common bird of prey in my area. But usually they are either flying, or perched in a tree surveying the ground below for prey. I had never before seen one walking through the grass. I spotted this through my kitchen window and was able to rush outside to get a clear, closer look. This bird had a lot of attitude, strutting through the grass like a male model wearing feather pants!
